Vision Statement
Our church will fulfill the Great Commission by sharing the love of God in Christ with every person through evangelism,
discipling, ministering, fellowshipping and worship.
One Driving Force
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the ends of the world.
Matthew 28:19-20 KJV

How?
-
Every member is a minister
-
Every member is called to minister
-
Every member is gifted to minister
-
Every member is given a task
We must avoid becoming so wrapped up in methods that we forget our God given directions. Growth is a divine process that occurs from a healthy living thing. Therefore we must focus on health not growth. The way we focus on health is by focusing on the Kingdom of God and not our church.
Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? And whereunto shall I resemble it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
Luke 13:18-20
Mark 1:14-15
Matthew 6:9-10
This Kingdom of God has no limits; geographical, political or social.
Nothing can stop the Kingdom of God
Matthew 16:17-19
We have no promise that hardships will cease. But we are promised that the Kingdom will flourish.
Sound Doctrine
Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, born of the Virgin Mary, come to redeem us from our sin and separation from God.
Jesus assuredly performed the miracles recorded in the scriptures.
Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead the third day with a physical body.
Jesus will return bodily to this earth at the end of the age.
The Bible is without error and completely trustworthy.
One Driving Force
The Great Commission is the force behind all we do as a church in the kingdom. Without this force we are nothing more than a group trying to gain numbers with useless techniques. Many are wearing out from working at things that do not work but few are wearing out from being overworked.
“Go” literally means as you go or since you are going.
Five Functions
Evangelism
God is at work building His Kingdom. Because of this the gospel must be shared with every person possible as soon as possible. How we present the gospel is not as important as that we present the gospel.
Luke 10:2
Discipleship
This is not an option but is mandated in the Great Commission. This process begins at conversion and continues throughout a Christian’s life. We strive to become more like Christ and that becomes for us a new way of life. Discipleship is God’s way of maturing His children. He never promised us it would be easy only profitable. This requires time and dedication over a long period of time.
Ministry
Ministry is meeting another person’s need in the name of Jesus and should be a normal function for every believer.
Matthew 20:26-28
This is without regard to race, religious affiliation, abilities or circumstances. We meet the needs of others because Jesus commands us to and tells us that in the future we will find that by ministering to others we minister to Him.
Matthew 25:40
Fellowship
This does not happen by itself or without the power of God involved. We must be in correct fellowship with God before we can be in proper fellowship with others.
Without warm, loving fellowship church will not grow. People will not come where bickering, selfishness, coldness and tensions prevail.
The desire for fellowship is a sure mark of the mature congregation and if the Holy Spirit is in charge it will be automatic.
Worship
This is vital but not the most vital. Adoration of God and reverence for God should be our first priority.
During worship we receive power, guidance and spiritual strength through prayer, praise, confession of sin, confession of faith in God, offerings, preaching and the observing of the Lord’s Supper and Baptism.
The purpose of worship is to have an encounter with the Lord.
Four Results
Numerical Growth
Numbers are not our goal but they are indicators of what God is doing. Numbers are to be seen as people not statistics only.
Spiritual Growth
If we do not search for spiritual growth we will produce Christians that are a mile wide but only an inch deep. The trouble with this is that when troubles come they will not survive even the mildest of storms.
Remember that we are not finished products.
Grow in Christ likeness
Grow in fellowship
Grow in relationships
Grow in discipline
Ministry Expansion
As we fulfill the Great Commission and others are reached for Christ our ministries will expand out of joy. Sunday School, Worship and all others…
Missions Advance
As a growing church more people will be interested in getting outside of their comfort zone as they see the Kingdom and not their church as the primary focus. This will place missions at a new level in our lives.
The window on the world will be opened and we will begin to see the “fields white unto harvest.”
