Day 1 - God's Wondrous Creation
Today's Bible story explores the fantastic cosmic fireworks
display that starts the Bible: God's creation of the world. We
can see God's power through his amazing act of creation recorded in
Genesis, and evidence of his reality and character by simply taking
a look at the world he created.
Today's exploration of the creation account points kids beyond
simply what was created to who created it.
Children will discover important aspects of who God is: God is a
creative artist, God is loving, God is powerful, God is personal,
and God is real. And We can worship him!
"You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and
power, for you created all things, and by your will they were
created and have their being." Revelation 4:11
Day 2 - Desert Wonder
Today's Bible story includes some serious complainers: a bunch of
Israelites with bad attitudes wandering in the desert. Through God's
provision for the Israelites, kids can discover that God is trustworthy and
they can count on him-not only for practical needs in their lives, but also
as they true sustenance for their souls.
"I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he
who believes in me will never be thirsty." John 6:25
Day 3 - Healing Wonder
On the surface, the events of Luke 5:17-26 are stunningly
spectacular. Some men, passionate about getting their friend to Jesus
to be healed, don't let anything get their way-not even a crowd of people or
the roof of a house. Jesus does heal their friend, but there's a
hidden thread in this story that's even more awe-inspiring than the physical
healing. It's the profound healing power of Jesus' words that are the
true miracle. Today's lesson will allow children to share in the
excitement of the men who brought their friend to Jesus and witnessed the
miracle that happened that day. But beyond the events of the story,
they'll learn the exciting truth that Jesus can heal them too.
"It is not the healthy who need the doctor, but the sick." Matthew 9:12
Day 4 - Water Wonder
Peter shows us that trusting Jesus isn't merely a mental assent or a
casual relationship; its not a safe faith that clings to the comfort or
security of a familiar boat. It's a trust that steps out into the
water-its a risky, bold, whole-person response of complete commitment to
Jesus. Today's lesson will help the kids see that they can trust Jesus to
help them make it through the various challenging circumstances that come
their way.
"You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Matthew 16:16
Day 5 - The Wonder of God Brought Down to Earth
Today's lesson introduces children to the meaning of the
resurrection and the real reason it's so spectacular. It's the miracle
of the defeat of sin and death, the miracle of forgiveness and eternity with
God being offered to us undeserving humans.
This news is also worth sharing and they too can share the "awesome news"
about the best day ever seen on planet Earth.
