Music Ministry
The purpose of the music ministry at Hopewell is to be Kingdom focused by carrying out the five functions of the church (evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, ministry and worship) all for the glory of God.
Every Sunday we have the great privilege of gathering together to encounter God and celebrate His awesome presence through corporate worship. Worship is our response to God for who He is and for all He has done. God is our Audience and our goal as a ministry is God’s fame and glory! Our passion is to help individuals become fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Our music ministry is a multi-faceted ministry where people of all ages and abilities are able to develop and grow in their spiritual journey with Christ through music. There are wonderful opportunities for spiritual, musical and artistic growth for all ages. No matter the level of ability, there is a place for you! We invite you to discover the exciting joy of serving God through our ministry.
Opportunities in our ministry:
Adult Choir
Wednesday –
8:00-9:15 p.m.
Location: Choir Room
The Hopewell Worship Choir is a team of passionate people who love to exalt and magnify God with their voices. Our choir desires to help people encounter the transforming love of Jesus through their ministry. Throughout the year, the choir ministers through various concerts and special presentations during Christmas and other special events.
Vocal Team (Adult Ensemble)
Sunday –
5:00-6:00 p.m.
Location: Sanctuary
Audition and openings required. Members must be actively involved in the Adult Choir program.
Praise Band
Sunday –
5:00-6:00 p.m.
Location: Sanctuary
Audition and openings required. Members must be college age and up.
Children’s choir
2nd and 4th
Wednesday – 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Location: Building 100
3yr olds – K: Cristina Long, Jennifer Camden and Ginger Crowell, Leaders
1st – 5th grades: Anna Austin and Melanie Somers, Leaders
The
Children’s Choir sings every second Sunday of each month and prepares for
special events like Christmas and Easter.
